John is a graduate of a top-tier law school and has over 15 years experience with some of the nation's most highly respected business and real estate departments at national and California-based law firms. He has developed a broad-based transactional real estate, real estate finance, and consumer bankruptcy practice with extensive experience in both commercial and residential real estate.
Throughout his career, John has advised nationally and internationally recognized companies, financial institutions, insurance companies, developers, local and national businesses, resorts and retailers, as well as individual investors, families and home owners in all aspects of commercial and residential real estate, real estate finance and bankruptcy. His experience ranges from advising in the purchase of billion dollar portfolio of properties, to the development of suburban neighborhoods, to the leasing of retail and office space, to the refinancing of a California winery, to the purchase and sale of single asset real property, to the refinancing of small business real estate loans, to advising in the modification of a single-family home loan, to advising individuals in all aspects of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 consumer bankruptcy. John received his B.A. from the University of Virginia, where he majored in Russian Studies and Religious Studies. John received his J.D. from the University of Colorado in Boulder, where he received the BXG Legal Scholarship and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Rothgerber Moot Court. He is a member of the Real Property section of the American Bar Association and the Real Estate and Business Law sections of the California State Bar. |
