John has represented nationally and internationally recognized banks and national finance companies as well as national and local businesses as both lender and borrower in acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine secured loan transactions, including half billion dollar multi-state and multi-parcel cross-collateralized portfolio transactions. John's experience includes establishing revolving lines of credit, creating interest rate swaps and lock box agreements and performing all necessary due diligence.
John's commercial real estate finance experience includes:
Advising small business owners and retail franchisees in the financing of real property for their business;
Advising national banks in the structuring of loans to home owners and small businesses;
Advising an international bank in structuring of $78,000,000 participating loan credit facility to benefit a northern California winery;
Advising a national bank in structuring of $80,000,000 refinancing of a resort loan;
Advising a major financial institution in the structuring of mezzanine lending to purchase real estate assets; and
Advising an internationally recognized financial company in several three-party transactions valued between $100,000,000 and $350,000,000 that created credit facilities providing both variable rate revolving financing and long term fixed rate financing secured by cross-defaulted and cross-collateralized mortgages on multi-family housing projects in multiple jurisdictions owned by the REIT-borrower or its affiliates.
